Black-eyed Susans hang on into late October.

Black-eyed Susans hang on into late October.
Back on Thursday.
. . . as in unplugged from computing and the internet for the rest of today. It is a choice Faye and I have made, to spend some time in the real world.
The Erie Trader and Fuldaborg meet – and pass – on the St. Clair River.
You can see right through this snag.
A curtain of willow leaves, illuminated by late afternoon sun, screened a part of the treehouses’ deck.
Sunset blazed a path through the bush at the treehouse. It was good to spend time in the real world of trees, wind, sun, stars instead of the unreal world of bits and bytes.
Back on Thursday.
This landscape – of a greenery covered bench – asks us to view our world from a perspective outside the one(s) we are accustomed to using.
This was our home for the last two nights. No hydro, no running water, a 1/2 klick hike back to the car. Leaving behind the internet, phones, radio, all of civilizations’ ‘advantages’ was delightful.
It’s good to go away.
I will be away for a few days, spending time with Faye in a rustic place conducive to conversation, reading, eating well, and enjoying the world we are blessed to inhabit.
