This attractive frog.

I happened to see this frog on a leaf of the aloe vera plant that has been inside at my workplace since October or November of last year. It is the first time I have seen this attractive frog, and have no idea where it came from. I think it is a Gray Tree Frog. I will bring it home and release it outside.

Virga

An interesting weather phenomenon occurred. This cumulus had enough convection to create precipitation; however the precipitation appeared to evaporate before reaching the ground, a condition known as virga. I suspect that a brief sprinkle occurred at ground level, if that.

Give away.

A local greenhouse grows vegetables for the local restaurant trade. Since restaurant are open only for take-out, much of the greenhouse inventory is at risk of being trashed.

A local initiative is helping give their inventory away, minimizing the loss that might otherwise occur. Volunteers stopped on our street, looking to give away bags and flats of tomatoes. We took a generous helping, taking only what we thought we would use.

I see more than a few BLT sandwiches in our near future.

Await.

Our started vegetable plants await planting. Low temperatures during several upcoming nights come uncomfortably close to freezing so we are holding off. For now, we bring them out during the day to harden them off.

The rosemary (upper centre) will stay in its pot as will the lemongrass (upper right).
