I relocated the feeder mentioned in the previous post in an effort to make it more difficult for squirrels to get at. This Blue Jay adjusted to the new setup in no time at all.

I feed songbirds. A side effect is that seeds are scattered throughout the yard, so sunflowers spring up all over. We let them grow, flower, and go to seed.
Today a gang of eight Blue Jays descended on the sunflowers. I was able to photograph this one from the kitchen.
I was too slow to capture this Blue Jay before it moved.
Our resident Blue Jay tarried just long enough for me to capture it.
