One thing I am doing today is admiring this Turkey Vultures’ graceful soaring.

A Turkey Vulture rides the wind, just before a thunderstorm arrives.

While reviewing photos I came across this photo of a Turkey Vulture tilting, riding the wind.

Tracking the Turkey Vultures on as they wheeled and soared on this windy day was difficult. I was fortunate to capture this image.

When a thunderstorm approached recently, a number of Turkey Vultures took advantage of the gusty winds, soaring, wheeling, and skating across the sky. I derived a good deal of pleasure watching them.
If a Turkey Vulture can feel something like the human emotion of pleasure, each one must have felt it.

The Turkey Vultures will depart soon. I will enjoy watching them soar over our neighbourhood until they do.

Seagulls wheel above the St. Clair River.

I stepped outside to see one, three, seven, eleven Turkey vultures soaring on an unfavourable wind, trying to gain an advantage during their migration. Two turn downwind, I suppose preparing to get a head of steam up to attack the wind.
