Handsome and friendly.

Fitzi is a handsome and friendly senior statesdog from his kind – four-footeds – to our kind – two-footeds.

It has been a long time.

It has been a long time since I posted. A lot of shit has happened since then. A lot that sucks.

It can be easy to become anxious, depressed, angry, bitter, resigned, overwhelmed, withdrawn.

To give up.ย

I refuse to give up. There is still so much to take pleasure in, all around us, if we choose to open our senses to it. Iโ€™ve seen quite a lot to take pleasure in during the last several months.

So I am resuming sharing images from my corner of the world. Flowers, birds, food, our beloved dog, landscapes, cloudscapes. To show you, to share with you, to remind you that despite the fact that while the way we live now and will live are changing and will continue changing, there is still much to be thankful for.

I may occasionally write about corruption, criminality, inhumanity, incompetence, stupidity. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you canโ€™t handle that then I suggest ignoring those posts, or unfollowing me altogether.

Fitzi cuts a noble profile as a senior statesdog and is a fine ambassador of his kind to our kind.

Taken to it.

We got this dog bed for Lucy, who doesn’t care for it. On the other hand Fitzi has quite taken to it.

Can you resist this face?

I thought not.

Is he not lovable?

Look at this face and convince yourself otherwise.

Having none of it.

Fitzi invites Lucy to play. Lucy is having none of it.

Fitzi.

We are so blessed to have him.

A noble profile.

Beloved Fitzi.

Watching my dogs.

Watching my dogs watching their world.

A dog and his log.

This hard maple chunk has been Fitzi’s go-to chew toy for about five years. Doesn’t splinter, break into potentially swallowable pieces.
