Fitzi and Lucy playing. They have recently played more; it is good to see that they are getting along well enough to play nicely. We hoped that Lucy and Fitzi would play well and take pressure off of senior Achilles, allowing Chili Dog to engage or not as he wants.

Lucy keeps a sharp eye out for squirrels or any other animals that might dare to trespass in our back yard.
I have never seen such an exquisite snowflake as this one, on Achilles’ ear. Unfortunately for you, my reader, he moved a fraction of a second before the shutter tripped.

Despite this blurry and out of focus image shot in low light, it is easy to see relaxed and at ease Achilles’ tongue simply hanging. I do think he either does not know or care whether his tongue is out. Whichever (or for another reason), it is most amusing and endearing.
