Sunrise, Lambton County.

A lovely way to start the day. So blessed to see this.

Soft colours.

Although I miss the very early sunrises of high summer, the lovely soft colours of September mornings before sunrise are marvellous.

A fantastic morning.

It was a fantastic morning to be out and about, and to witness this glorious scene.

Almost invisible.

Fog was so dense one morning, this barn was almost invisible from a mere 100 meters away.

Gloriously delicate.

The sky was airbrushed with gloriously delicate hues this morning. I was compelled to stop, admire and give thanks, and share with you.

If you look just above and to the right of the centre, there is the fingernail, waning, almost gone, crescent moon.

morning

On the move.

This morning was very calm. This screen grab from the Detroit Michigan National Weather Service radar shows circles, or rings, at the top centre, just right of centre, bottom centre, and a small, partial one at bottom, right of centre.

The radar picked up – hundreds of thousands? millions? – of birds fanning out from these overnight roosting areas, on the move and looking for food, fattening up for migration.

Just over there.

On a recent morning, dense fog was just over there, a couple hundred meters away.

Glorious.

I neither need nor want to say more.

Marvellous.

Today’s sunrise was marvellous. I’m very blessed to be able to witness such beauty.

A peaceful morning.
