We had a day-long rain with a chill east wind, 23 mm of rain fell. A warm front has swept through, scrubbing out the rain (for now). We had a front row seat as a thunderstorm developed then moved off to our east. This is the trailing end of the storm, still building. Air is really a fluid, clouds accentuate that and are dynamic, compelling sculpture.

We captured this pair of Bald Eagles soaring near their nest. I understand they mate for life though they often go separate ways after fledging their young. They return to the same next year after year, continuing to add material to it. This pair’s nest is enormous and the photos we took do not come close to showing just how enormous.

At altitude, heading across the pond.

A backyard treasure.

After a Texas summertime thunderstorm, near sunset. Gold is more than a metal, it’s all around us if we choose to seek it out.

We took a walk along the Sydenham this afternoon and Faye led me through the bush fringing the river. We came across these beautiful wildflowers and admired them. I had to get down on their level. It is chilly at night yet spring is here.
Nature, god, the maker, what have you endowed our world with remarkable beauty.
