This White-throated Sparrow has regularly visited the yard for several days now.

While reviewing photos I came across this photo of a Turkey Vulture tilting, riding the wind.

I went through some photos today. Came across this one of now gone on ahead ACDx Stella (foreground) and Achilles, and smiled. I was privileged to share years with them.

Even though the light makes its colour hard to distinguish, the profile clearly distinguishes this bird: It is a Northern Cardinal.

This Red-winged Blackbird was speckled by snowflakes.

This Mourning Dove sought bits of seed.

On April 15, snowflakes (called Christmas flakes because they were large and invoked a bit of cheer) nearly obscured the neighbours’ large pine tree.

These two Mourning Doves settled down for a brief snooze outside my office window.

Lucy is, sometimes, our can holder. And, always, our watch dog.
