A box that a Secret Santa sent to Fitzi and Lucy, sent well before Christmas, was inexplicably delayed until today. Never mind, the box was as welcome today as it would have been before Christmas. Lots of good stuff inside, as the pups discovered.

We got take-out from a Jamaican place. On the left (from left), jerk chicken, rice and beans, coleslaw, pork rolls with a spicy dipping sauce. On the right (from left), the rise and beans, coleslaw, dipping sauce with the pork rolls, and curry goat. Delicious.
Oh and at bottom: Lucy expressing a desire to expand her culinary horizons.
According to the calendar, Lucy recently had a birthday. Happy birthday special and treasured girl. Thank you for being in our lives.
Four years ago today we formally adopted Fitzi.
You have brought us so much pleasure; we have loved having you and will love to continue having you. Thank you for becoming a part of our pack.
Lucy, on a recent morning when we had time to enjoy each others’ company.
The dogs and I played outside. Lucy had her ball. Then we went inside; she did not have her ball.
Later, after dark, I let the dogs out for their last pee break. Before that I put them into a sit stay. Lucy looked up at the top of the clothes washer where we keep dog toys. She was looking for her ball. I said no it’s not up there it’s outside.
I said ‘Find your ball!’ Then I let her out, repeating ‘Find your ball!’ And less than two minutes later she brought it back.
What a smart girl.

It is good to see our dogs playing.
