I pass this barn several times a week. It’s the same barn, in the same place, yet the light is different every day. It’s a work of art.
Old wood sided barns like this one are disappearing. They are ‘inefficient’, ‘expensive’ (now) to maintain, they are diversions to farmers looking to maximize yield and minimize hassle. I suspect that when this barn becomes too much trouble as it is, it will be knocked down. Sad.

We came across an abandoned, empty barn recently. Faye wanted me to stop, and she got out to take photos, including this one full of juxtaposed angles, lines, light and shadow.
This morning started out quite foggy. The barn I photographed the other day was almost lost.
I drive past this barn several days weekly. Every time I pass it I think, I need to photograph it. Today, I fnally did.
I love seeing these wooden barns, they are a link to the past. There are fewer and fewer around now.
