Our foster dog Lucy went to her forever home this afternoon. While we are a little sad to let her go, we think it is the ideal home for her. In the very unlikely event it did not work out, we will unhesitatingly take her back. Possibly permanently.
We were blessed to have Lucy in our home, and wish her and her person a great life.

Achilles is ready for autumn.

Our foster Lucy, coming in search of someone to play fetch.

Still rummaging through old photos. I’d say Achilles the former Texan has adapted quite well to winter.

I reviewed some old photos today, one of the hottest days of the year. It was refreshing to see this photo, and to smile at recalling watching fuzzbutt Stella go deep into a snowbank.

I have trained our foster dog Lucy to wait to take a treat until I say “Ok!” She waited very nicely for the magic word to take this raspberry.

Achilles waits for our foster Lucy to leap off the deck and continue the chase game.

How wonderful to do nothing all day long,
and after having done so,
to rest.
