One year later, this photo still greatly amuses me. Fitzi, right in front of me with stick in mouth and in a very high pounce, invites me to play.

I thought about cropping this photo to only show Fitzi, then decided that keeping Lucy in the frame added good interest.

I crouched down to capture Fitzi clutching a very large stick in his jaws. He raced at me, I clicked the shutter button, the exposure meter had to compute before tripping the shutter, then Fitzi leapt at me.

Eager and expectant, Lucy, presents the ball for its next launch from the Chuck-it! She has to drop it first, though, and within reach. (More often than not I make her sit, butt fully on the ground if only for a second.)
