Briefly

.The sun briefly appeared this morning between horizon and clouds.

Wondrously, marvellously.

A recent sunrise set the sky wondrously, marvellously, spectacularly, beautifully, ablaze.

Red sky at morning . . .

. . . sailor take warning.

The old saying certainly held true for non-sailors in southwest Ontario this week. After this lovely and marvellous Monday morning sunrise, the rest of the week was cloudy, rainy, chilly, with snow and ice melting and rivers rising.

Welcome to my first post of the new year. Let me know what you think!

Earlier.

Another view of the sunrise shown on the previous post. This one taken a few minutes earlier.

Glory.

The glory of a sunrise announces the beginning of another day. I am very glad to have broken my routine to witness it, and to share it with you.

A glorious sunrise, shared with you.

Burst of brilliance.

A thin layer of fog just above the ground transformed the suns’ appearance into a burst of brilliance.

Foggy sunrise.

Fog relented just enough this morning to capture this sunrise.

By paying attention.

By paying attention as well as not hurrying to my destination, I can – and do – stop to admire and capture a striking sunrise.

Sunrise, Lambton County.

Ablaze.

This mornings’ sky was ablaze.
