This Red-Tailed Hawk, likely a this-year bird, perched on a hydro pole. Just after I focused my camera on it, it took wing. I was fortunate to get this photo.

Early sunlight light very gently brushes this cumulus. In the background, altocumulus, almost invisible, draws a gossamer veil across the sky.

Illuminated

On a recent cloudy, foggy morning, the sun found a hole in the gray and mist. Bursting through to the ground, it illuminated this former school house, now someone’s home.
