This Red-Tailed Hawk, likely a this-year bird, perched on a hydro pole. Just after I focused my camera on it, it took wing. I was fortunate to get this photo.
I usually photograph the dogs from an angle, sometimes at their level. This time I captured Achilles from almost directly above as he watched people walk past.
On a recent cloudy, foggy morning, the sun found a hole in the gray and mist. Bursting through to the ground, it illuminated this former school house, now someone’s home.
