My camera wasn’t handy and my phone camera was overwhelmed by the brilliant reds and oranges.
I was overwhelmed. What a glorious start to the day.

I was fortunate to be able to stop and take in lovely dawn.

Tracking the Turkey Vultures on as they wheeled and soared on this windy day was difficult. I was fortunate to capture this image.

We recently sojourned at a cabin not too far from home. It is a simple place, off the grid and in the middle of a former pasture transformed into a tallgrass prairie which is fringed by Carolinian bush.
It was a delightful weekend at a place we look forward to visiting again.

Bounty from our berry patch – two plus cups of strawberries and one of haskap, our third harvest of each. Very tasty and enough to freeze for later.

This vista was worth more than all the gold I might care to own.
