Glory.

The glory of a sunrise announces the beginning of another day. I am very glad to have broken my routine to witness it, and to share it with you.

A glorious sunrise, shared with you.

Still lovely.

While just past its prime, this hibiscus bloom is still lovely.

Glow.

A recent sunset made the clouds glow. I like how the trees lean into the image, framing the scene.

Brilliant colour.

It’s good to have a last burst of brilliant colour as we enter the seasons of muted colour.

Brilliant.

The Silver Maple at the edge of the yard shed this brilliant leaf.

Autumn is here.

Almost crystalline.

One aspect of the beauty of African violet flowers is that they are almost crystalline, hewn from stone.

On the move.

Turkey Vultures are on the move, starting to head south for the season. I counted 40 a short time ago and was fortunate to capture this one.

Easy to forget.

When viewing such lovely flowers, it is easy to forget I work at an industrial site.

Hovers.

A male Ruby-throated Hummingbird hovers near the feeder. Shot through the kitchen window and attendant screen, so a little blurry.

By paying attention.

By paying attention as well as not hurrying to my destination, I can – and do – stop to admire and capture a striking sunrise.
