First time visitor.

Last weekend, I saw a bird out in the far reaches of the yard. While it looked completely unfamiliar it was so far out I couldn’t positively identify it. Am pretty sure it was a  Yellow-rumped Warbler, which I’ve never seen in the yard.

I’m pleased to have (at least temporarily) hosted this fellow and hope to see him again.

A White-crowned Sparrow searches for food beneath our nyger seed feeder. This photo is a bit blurry because I shot it though a window and window screen.

First

Spring is truly here: First sighting this year of a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird. It’s been a miserable few days to be a hummingbird – chilly, damp and at times rainy. I’m very happy to be able to help out.

Manages

Though the bird feeders’ perch is a little undersized for it, this male Common Grackle manages just fine.
