I captured this handsome Rose-breasted Grosbeak perched on the roof of the window bird feeder. The small squares are fixed to the window and act as a visual reference/barrier, preventing birds from flying into the window and being injured by the impact. Since affixing the squares two years ago, the only impacts have been low-speed and non-injury causing.
Is he not lovable?

This garter snake found its way into a building so it was gently escorted outside, where it promptly backed into a defensive posture. It appears to be quite large; was only about 20 centimeters long. A handsome creature.

I founf this handsome little gaffer just outside the front door at work. It tolerated my gently poking at him by climbing onto my hand and accepting a lift to a more sheltered spot.
