Glory.

The glory of a sunrise announces the beginning of another day. I am very glad to have broken my routine to witness it, and to share it with you.

A glorious sunrise, shared with you.

First blush.

The first blush of the morning sun graces an old barn.

Full of smoke.

The upper atmosphere was full of smoke earlier this week from the wildfires in western Canada, and the sunrises were indicative of that.

Take warning.

The sailor’s adage held true today. This morning sky presaged rain and a stiff east wind in the afternoon.

Sunrise, May 05.

Although greeting every new day is a blessed event, this new day’s spectacle was truly remarkable and I’m thankful to have witnessed it.

Dull.

Wreathed by a thin sheet of cloud and haze, this morning the sun presented a dull yellow face.

Welcome

A brilliant, clear morning sky is most welcome after a lengthy series of overcast, sometimes gloomy mornings.

Taken with my Windows phone.

This morning is quite chilly, about -11. Fog settled in shortly before I left home. It was patchy and very dense in a few areas. At one point the sun peeked out so I stopped to capture the scene.
