Kendal has a thing about Turkey Vultures. Whenever he spies one flying over he goes on Red Alert, barking a warning to keep on flying and not come back.

He continued barking and I continued snapping

Kendal began barking ferociously as I photographed some living jewels in the backyard. I swung the camera around and captured this.

Watching Stella’s ears rotate, monitoring sounds, often moving independently, is fascinating.

During our walk in the bush this unusually-pigmented frog leaped off a log and plopped into the water. It tolerated a photo session, remaining still for some time.


During our walk the other day Faye saw this unusual green and white trillium quite by chance. Had she not walked that way we would have missed this little beauty.

This Black Cherry truck reached high, catching my and causing it to do the same.

Sometimes it’s good to ask if we are still on the right path, or should we consider changing direction.
