Softly lit.

On a marvellous late winter morning, this tin barn was softly lit by pre-sunrise light, with the moon setting above it. I was blessed to come across this scene.

A metal barn softly illuminated by morning light, with the full or nearly full moon setting above it.

Tucked in.

Lucy, tucked in for an afternoon snooze.

From the archive.

A cheerful flower to admire on a late winter day, and to look forward to seeing this summer.

A Blanket Flower, Latin name Gaillardia pulchella, in bloom.

Briefly

.The sun briefly appeared this morning between horizon and clouds.

Lucy, at rest.

Much loved Lucy.

Wondrously, marvellously.

A recent sunrise set the sky wondrously, marvellously, spectacularly, beautifully, ablaze.

Leaned in close.

I leaned in close to get an image of frost-laden grass leaves.

Old.

We’ve travelled by this old concrete silo many times. We stopped today to visit and respect it because as Faye observed, it may not be there much longer.

We remarked about how it was unusual to see no sign of an adjacent foundation for a barn or other structure.

A piece of local history that may have record, other than speculation.

In formation.

I somewhat randomly decided to take a particular route home and was fortunate to see watch several flocks of Tundra Swans flying in formation. The little-travelled road has no shoulders so I was able to safely stop in the traffic lane to capture several images.

Crossed paths

Wet snow fell for much of yesterday. This morning, I saw that a mouse and a fox had crossed paths during the night, seemingly not at the same time.
