Ball Girl.

Our ball girl Lucy was very briefly distracted by a bird in the neighbours’ yard.

Await.

Our started vegetable plants await planting. Low temperatures during several upcoming nights come uncomfortably close to freezing so we are holding off. For now, we bring them out during the day to harden them off.

The rosemary (upper centre) will stay in its pot as will the lemongrass (upper right).

Glorious bloom.

Our Redbud tree was in glorious bloom. We are blessed to have such a lovely sight in our yard.

First flower.

First strawberry flower.

Blazes

Starting another day, the sun blazes into view to start another day.

Serious and intense.

Lucy sat-stayed long enough for me to capture a good image. I think this captures the fact that she can be a very serious and intense dog.

Promise fulfilled.

Before today, only four days this month had been mostly sunny. This mornings’ lovely dawn promised that today would be Day 5.

The promise was fulfilled. I was, am, very grateful.

Sleepy girl.

Lucy, fast asleep.

Gotcha!

Four years ago today we formally adopted Fitzi.

You have brought us so much pleasure; we have loved having you and will love to continue having you. Thank you for becoming a part of our pack.

Dozy dog.

Lucy, on a recent morning when we had time to enjoy each others’ company.
