One of my favourites.

Of all flowers, Johnny Jump-ups are one of my favourites. We are blessed to have them in abundance.

Cheery

Johnny Jump-ups show their cheery faces to the world.

To its level

To better enjoy this Johnny Jump-up, I got down to its level. It is another of my favourite flowers; we let them self-seed and jump up almost anywhere they can.

Cheerful

It is a chilly, damp, breezy day – more mid-March than mid-May. These Johnny Jump-ups spread, without encouragement, into part of our yard. I photographed them a few days ago and today they gave me some cheer that spring is indeed here.

Gems

These delightful Johnny Jump-ups are volunteers. They survived the harsh snowy winter and emerged entirely on their own. I’ve always loved these little beauties.

Volunteers

These little gems are literally underfoot at one side of our laundry box. We’ve given them no care whatsoever this spring and they are gorgeous. We will dig them up and pot them because they are to beautiful.
