Stella comes to investigate what I am doing.

Ranks of corn stubble bales await transportation to their next destination.

A country lane vanishes into early morning fog.

A stand of teasel greets a lovely, lovely dawn. A wonderful scene to set the tone for a good day.

Today was a fall day, cool with rain, low clouds, a north breeze. It would be easy to classify today as an unhappy, depressing, bad day.

I prefer to not think that way. It’s a fall day, grey, drizzly, a good day to give thanks for being alive.

Recent tree trimming revealed this leaf-like pattern within one of the main limbs.

Stella, captured in a burst of late afternoon sun.

Sunshine, a warm day, and grass. What more does a dog need? It’s good to be a dog.

It’s also good to have a dog.

This gathering of Common Grackles provided quite a musical, squeaky-hinge serenade to an evening outside.

A sheet of cirrus transformed the sun into a disk of light, setting off the darkness of our neighbour pine tree.
