Accept

I left work a little late today. After running errands I arrived home in the gloaming that comes just before nightfall. Some folks may be unhappy about how early night falls now and will fall for the next several months.

I prefer to not descend into unhappiness about something I cannot control. Rather to accept and appreciate what I cannot change. A time to reflect and give thanks for on the years’ gifts and blessings, to ponder The Great Mystery of the next year.

Welcome

A brilliant, clear morning sky is most welcome after a lengthy series of overcast, sometimes gloomy mornings.

Here she comes

Lucy, ball in mouth.

Here she comes

Tongue

Despite this blurry and out of focus image shot in low light, it is easy to see relaxed and at ease Achilles’ tongue simply hanging. I do think he either does not know or care whether his tongue is out. Whichever (or for another reason), it is most amusing and endearing.

Tuckered out

Lucy is tuckered out after a lengthy session with the Chuck-it!

Healthier and more permanent

Here is a healthier and more permanent view to appreciate than being glued to a computer or TV screen obsessing over second by second election updates.

Added

These leaves added colour and cheer to a dull, grey, damp, chill stroll.

Appreciate

Lacking a hard freeze so far, falls’ colours have been subdued, and that’s fine. One must see into oneself more deeply to appreciate subdued colours.

Dozing

Achilles, dozing on the deck of a pet friendly cottage we recently visited. We took only him, leaving Fitzi and Lucy at home in the care of a trusted sitter. DSCF1138
