By paying attention.

By paying attention as well as not hurrying to my destination, I can – and do – stop to admire and capture a striking sunrise.

Ah, this was why!

The other day, several crows that hang around my workplace were unusually agitated. Ah, this was why! A hawk saw fit to perch.

Resting.

Faye captured this awesome portrait of a dragonfly apparently resting.

Continues.

The winter wheat harvest continues; with thunderstorms wheat fn today’s weather forecast there was a rush to get in what was ready for cutting.

In full swing.

The winter wheat harvest is in full swing.

Stood out.

This coneflower really stood out against the green background.

Fingernail moon.

Friday morning was clear, so it was a wonderful opportunity to admire the waning fingernail moon.

Working.

Looking out the window, I saw a butterfly working the coneflowers. By the time I picked up the camera and went outside to photograph it, it had moved on. A honeybee working the same bunch of coneflowers made for a very acceptable subject.

Ablaze.

This mornings’ sky was ablaze.
