Lucy watches me capture her.
This is my last cross-post to Facebook. Once again I invite those followers to click the link to my blog and follow me by email. Or you can add the URL to your favourites and visit at your pace. If FB followers prefer not to follow either way, thank you very much for liking and commenting on my posts for the past three-plus years.
I will take Wednesday off and return Thursday.

Fitzi invited Achilles to play and Achilles accepted the invitation. By the time I got the iPad booted and camera app started they were winding down; they still danced so quickly that I only captured two blurs.

While walking Achilles and Stella this evening I sorted through some memories. One memory is the Adventure getting married, throwing up my life in Texas, and immigrating to Canada. Here’s a photo of us on our first day on the road to Canada in July 2007. It has been an adventure I have no regrets at all about undertaking.
Life is an adventure. I embrace it.

We recently had a terrific thunderstorm with very gusty winds. How this small branch came off the nearby pine tree, came through the dense canopy of the Manitoba maple, and lodged in the crotch of the tree, is a mystery.
After pondering the power that must have been involved I can understand why, when I came home, the dogs were subdued and unusually pleased to see me.

Achilles and our foster Lucy began playing and I had a very close-up look at the action.
