Sojourn.

After a morning of cold rain and wind, which we spent at work, we were blessed with a very pleasant afternoon and enjoyed some time on the deck.

All tucked in.

And emitting a gentle, rippling snore.

It’s good to have a dog.

Fitzi.

We are so blessed to have him.

Favours.

Soft lamplight favours Lucy.

Blessed and most welcome.

The sun shone for basically the entire day today. It has been quite some time since the last mostly cloud-free day. A blessed and most welcome event.

Sunshine!

I hope that those of you who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Orthodox Christmas, the western New Year, had a joyous and safe time!

The sun shone for about two hours yesterday. A notable event because it had shined for only about four hours total during the previous ten or so days.

Grey and brown

This seasons’ dominant colours are grey and brown, which is not entirely bad. I feel more grateful, blessed, fortunate, for each dash of colour such as this, provided by our redbud this spring.

Sunrise, Lambton County.

A lovely way to start the day. So blessed to see this.

Blessed and grateful.

The hibiscus is still throwing off blooms. With low temperatures in the single digits and highs barely reaching 20 by the weekend, it may be nearing the end of bloom season.

Nonetheless, I am blessed and grateful that it’s doing so well.
