Volunteer

Feeding songbirds has the side effect of birds dropping seed throughout our yard, which results in volunteer sunflowers popping up. We generally let them pop up and thrive or not. This volunteer adds cheer to the middle part of the vegetable garden.

This giant dominates our vegetable garden. Over eight feet tall and still growing.

Early

Very early, one of our tomatillos insists on blooming. Perhaps the bloom will survive to give us early fruit. Perhaps not. We will have to be patient, to wait.

We have garlic!

taken and posted with the PlayBook

We were very pleased to discover that all 38 garlic cloves we started last fall made it through the winter. Presuming they make it to the fall we should have a good supply to plant as well as a lot for cooking. And there are the scapes to look forward to using.

Vegetable Garden

Our garden is about 8′ x 20′ and when you are as talented as Faye, you can pack quite a bit into such a compact space. Here are two views, one from each end. Come look, and please feel free to identify as many plants as possible. Go ahead give it a tryImageImage!
