Frangipani produces a most lovely flower to look at and scent to breathe in.

Stella was so focussed on . . . something, that leaves falling onto her nape were unworthy of her attention.

I stepped outside to see one, three, seven, eleven Turkey vultures soaring on an unfavourable wind, trying to gain an advantage during their migration. Two turn downwind, I suppose preparing to get a head of steam up to attack the wind.

Achilles and Stella survey different parts of their domain.

I looked down and saw this beautiful sight.

Achilles had several teeth extracted today. He did well through several hours of sedation which is always a concern with senior dogs. Unfortunately a few more teeth need to come out; that will wait for another time.
Right now he’s resting in the bedroom, which is dark, quiet, and safe. Soon I will get some food into him while spending some time on the floor with him.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. Along with my many, many other blessings I’m thankful Achilles did well today. How blessed I am to have this good boy!

I arrived home this afternoon ready to go inside. I stepped out of the car, took a moment to look up, and saw quite a few Turkey vultures were soaring directly overhead. After scrambling to get my camera out of the car I was fortunate to capture two of these remarkably graceful animals.
