A hole in the clouds.

Last night, as a rain shower moved almost overhead, I happened to look in the right direction at the right time to see this, a hole in the low cloud cover revealing a sunlit cumulus way up high.

Bright and cheerful.

Seeing this nasturtium flower made for a bright and cheerful start to my day.

Toad.

This toad tolerated my getting up close to take its portrait.

Watches the world pass by.

Lucy watches the world pass by. We raise the window curtain so she can do this, which reduces the possibility the will become bored. A bored dog can be a mischievous dog.

Happy to share.

We are happy to share our yard with this little sprite, which finds plenty of shelter amongst the rubble left over from a concrete pad demolished before our deck was replaced.

Gliding along.

Faye got this really good image of an adult Canada goose and two goslings gliding along.

Forages.

An American Robin forages.

Pretty.

Captured these blooms in an untended area at my workplace. Haven’t yet determined what the plant is – thinking a wild pea or other legume. Whatever, they are quite pretty.

Displayed her handiwork.

Lucy displayed her handiwork (pawiwork?) after unravelling a ball of yarn. Faye was less than appreciative.

Smoky sunset.

Smoke particles, making their way to my area on upper air winds blowing from the wildfires in Quebec, made for a smoky sunset last night. The sky was so obscured that the sun disappeared before it reached the horizon.
