Accept and endure

We are in a very hot spell, the outside temperature is 32C and the humidex is 38. The inside temperature is 27 – not as bad as it may sound. Fans are going. The a/c is plugged into the bedroom window and set at 75.

Tomorrow will be equally hot, relief may come tomorrow night or Tuesday.

We accept and endure what life sees fit to throw our way.

Smiled

I was in the States recently and had occasion to visit a grocery store. I saw this and smiled.

I enjoyed a Moon Pie or two in the past. I also smiled because it reminded me of my beloved Moonpie, the goofy and sweet ball dog that went on ahead in 2005.

Moonpie head

A very good reminder of of a very good dog.

Eager

Eager and expectant, Lucy, presents the ball for its next launch from the Chuck-it! She has to drop it first, though, and within reach. (More often than not I make her sit, butt fully on the ground if only for a second.)

Treasured

Our treasured senior companion Achilles. He could be 13 human years old, he could be 18. Whatever his age, every day is a gift.
