I will (and did) gladly accept . . .

We went for a good walk at Rondeau Provincial Park on New Year’s Eve. What was a dank, dark, gloomy day at home became an agreeable day at the lakeshore. While some might have grumbled a bit about the total absence of snow, I will (and did) gladly accept what The Maker Of All Things saw fit to grace us with that day.

Dramatic.

This afternoons’ autumn sky was quite dramatic, with clouds dropping rain that largely though not completely evaporated before reaching the ground.

A glorious October morning.

Glorious.

Though I was at work and about to get very busy, I had to stop and savour this glorious October sunrise.

It’s good to be alive.

Pleased.

I was pleased and blessed to come across this slope covered with attractive flowers while I was out for a walk.. What they are I do not know. While humans may call these plants ‘weeds’ the many honeybees I saw were quite busy harvesting pollen.

Work of art.

I walked early on a foggy morning and was blessed to come across this work of art.

Country road, dawn

We came across this old house during a recent exploration of our municipality. It is obviously beyond saving.

What stories it must harbour!

An intriguing thing is that it still stands, while many old structures in our part of the world are knocked down in order to clear a bit more square meterage for crop planting. And while abandoned the lawn is obviously maintained, plus there is a ‘No Trespassing’ sign posted. The property owner cares enough to mow the lawn yet keep the structure it as is.

It’s a treasure.

Does not begin.

This photo does not begin to capture this sunrises’ delicate hues. It was so lovely, and I would have preferred to continue watching it reveal its beauty.

Although I had to press on to work, I was so blessed to witness this.
