Glow.

A recent sunset made the clouds glow. I like how the trees lean into the image, framing the scene.

Brilliant.

The Silver Maple at the edge of the yard shed this brilliant leaf.

Autumn is here.

Grey and brown

This seasons’ dominant colours are grey and brown, which is not entirely bad. I feel more grateful, blessed, fortunate, for each dash of colour such as this, provided by our redbud this spring.

Dramatic.

This afternoons’ autumn sky was quite dramatic, with clouds dropping rain that largely though not completely evaporated before reaching the ground.

ura

Harvest.

We spent time shelling beans on a delightful November afternoon. Not much yield by volume – perhaps two cups – and certainly not enough to be self sufficient. Yet, we grew them.

Still looked lovely.

Even after the first frost and the first hard freeze of the season, this Johnny Jump-up flower still looked lovely.

Glorious.

Though I was at work and about to get very busy, I had to stop and savour this glorious October sunrise.

It’s good to be alive.

Stands out.

A fallen Silver Maple leaf stands out from the deck boards and fallen Manitoba Maple leaves. No, I did not arrange this.

Sunrise.

Sunrise, on a late summer day by the calendar. Sunrise, on an early autumn day by how it feels.

Heralding

Heralding the arrival of a new day, the approach of autumn, and the approach of migration, a flock of Canada Geese flies across my field of view.
