Caught my eyes!

I have no idea what species, genus, or family this insect belongs to. The brilliant green certainly caught my eyes!

Resting.

Faye captured this awesome portrait of a dragonfly apparently resting.

Quite the critter.

This wasp was moving quite slowly on a brisk morning so I felt safe getting up close to examine and photograph it. About 1 1/2″ long and I have not yet been able to identify it.

Wow.

We came across this dragonfly during a recent walk. I had never seen such a brilliantly red dragonfly.

Lovely creature.

I came across this lovely creature while on a woodland walk.

Praying Mantis.

This Praying Mantis caught my eye as I made my rounds.

Safety inspector.

I was cutting some lumber outside, stepped away for a few minutes, and returned to find this mantis standing on top of my workpiece. I presume it was acting as a safety inspector.

Takes flight

Version 2

Wondrous

I me across these two moths while puttering in the backyard. Their wingspan was about 5 inches or 12 centimeters. I learned they are Cecropia silkmoths. Lovely and wondrous creatures.

Look closely
