The heavy, wet, ‘sticky’ snow also was caught in the gate.

A wet, ‘sticky’ snowfall was caught and held by all it contacted. Our redbud tree became a work of art.

Our winter has been remarkably mild and snow-free. Snow fell much of today, an important, useful, necessary reminder that it is February 9.

We are under a Winter Storm Warning. It has snowed all day, the snow began falling in earnest late this afternoon. The pine tree, shrouded in snow, is unimpressed, it has certainly seen far more notable storms. I measured about 10 centimeters before taking this photo. We are at about 12 now I think, much more to come, much more to shovel. Now the wind is blowing. That is fine with me. It is winter after all and I accept it. I am grateful to have a snug home, and grateful to live in a land of four seasons.
