The Common Grackle may appear to be stern, even angry. We might think, that the bright golden eye denotes thoughts, feelings, emotions, that aren’t actually there. This is simply the ‘suit he wears’.
Appearances can be deceiving.

Travelling companion
Achilles got to go on a recent trip. He’s such a good boy on the road.
Return
Riding high, the waxing moon returns to the night sky.
Like the moon, I have returned. My spiritual, creative, energies were a bit drained. It was good to put the camera down, good to rest, refresh, recharge. It’s good to be back and share what I see. To return to sharing the grace and the bounty all around me.

Away
I’ll be away for a few days, taking a break, recharging. This morning scene was a calming, centreing sight. It helped me have a good day.

Far above our world and our cares, the moon rides serenely above a peaceful, gentle, foggy morning. A wonderful setting for a new day.
Hands and knees
I got down on my hands and knees for this photo. Beauty, art, life, is above, around, below us, at our feet. It’s good to change our elevation, our perspective. We might see something new, or something familiar from a new perspective.
Revisit
During a recent tour of the backyard the Johnny Jump-ups compelled me to stop, revisit, and admire.
Dash
The redbud tree adds a wonderful dash of colour to our backyard. It suffered a serious injury three years ago in an accident yet seems to have fully recovered.
