First cutting.

First cutting of asparagus, which actually occurred over a week ago. Second cutting happened today.

Stories to tell.

Had to stop.

My morning commute was graced by this most marvellous scene. I was compelled to stop and enjoy the beauty.

Attractively dressed.

This attractively dressed Eastern cottontail found a good resting place under the haskap bush in our front yard. Faye captured this most excellent portrait.

Ablaze.

A wedge of the eastern sky was ablaze this morning.

Upbound.

CSL Assiniboine, upbound on the St. Clair River on a cool breezy day.

A reminder.

Though this shirt is well over 20 years old and has long been relegated to work-around-the-yard duty, it is a reminder of a good cause and perhaps the best organization I have had the pleasure to work for.

Fungus.

During a walk in a bush, a fallen fungus-laden tree trunk caught my eye.

A fine day to bask in the sun.

This Snapping Turtle thought so, on one of the first genuinely warm days of the year.
