The soft curves of trees, clouds, and the almost imperceptible curvature of the land are restful to the eye.

Thunderstorm

I left work the other day as a wicked thunderstorm rolled into the area and raced home, attempting to beat it.

Hole in the clouds

Rain threatened the other night, we could hear an occasional grumble of thunder. Clouds completely filled the sky – or so I thought. When I craned my neck and looked directly overhead, there was this hole, which closed within a moment or two.
Postscript: The threat turned out to be empty.

We had a day-long rain with a chill east wind, 23 mm of rain fell. A warm front has swept through, scrubbing out the rain (for now). We had a front row seat as a thunderstorm developed then moved off to our east. This is the trailing end of the storm, still building. Air is really a fluid, clouds accentuate that and are dynamic, compelling sculpture.
Airbrushed

Cirrus clouds gently brushed across the sky.
Country trees

I went for a drive along and this tree on Marthaville Road caught my eye. I was almost compelled to stop and photograph it standing against the backdrop of the mid-level clouds and the other trees nearby.
