Whimsy

We recently indulged in a bit of whimsy, purchasing these koozies for our March photo shoot.

Buff, white, and black

Buff and white coat, white Bentley, white whiskers, black nose. Our beloved Achilles was still long enough to be captured, in focus.

The three cavaliers

Taken at Erieau beach during a warmer time, the dogs watch as I return from the car. Stella is zoomed, lasered, into watching me as is Kendal. Achilles surveys the beach. Such different dogs, such treasured companions.

Smile . . .

. . . inadequately describes my expression when I see Achilles dozing.

Gentleman taking his ease

taken and posted with the PlayBook

It has been a lovely day. Sunny, temperature about 3 Celsius, light southwest wind. We spent time outside doing a little cleaning up. The dogs also came out for varying lengths of time. Piles of snow notwithstanding, Achilles dozed. I sneaked a photo.

Snowplow

taken with Windows phone, posted with the PlayBook

Faye and I took the cattle dogs on the long walk today. Stella will often shove her nose into a snowbank. When we returned home I noticed that Stella had a snowball on her nose. She was completely unfazed by, seemimgly oblivious to, it. I did not, could not, stage this.

Liver!

The dogs were zoomed in on Faye because she was simmering beef liver prior to dehydrating it for dog treats. As you may imagine, Faye had their attention for some time.

Rapt

Kendal, Achilles, and Stella barely registered my presence taking photos. Almost every particle of their beings were zoomed in on Faye, who was (you will have to read the next post to learn why)
