Paid a visit.

Several animals visit my workplace – raccoon, semi-feral cat, fox. Something likely much larger than any of these paid a visit the other night. The paw print may be a little difficult to discern; it is right in the middle of the image. Perhaps, probably, a coyote or a big dog. For scale, the coin, a Canadian toonie, is about 25mm (1″) in diameter.

Sprightly.

I was fortunate to capture this Chipping Sparrow, a sprightly visitor to the backyard.

Identified.

After reviewing CCTV footage for evidence of the unauthorized visitor, I identified it. This fox followed a path I had shovelled out then turned, bounding along my footpath to avoid walking in the deeper untouched snow. At this point it stopped to scan the area ahead before proceeding.

Unauthorised visitor.

During my workplace inspection one recent morning, I found evidence of an unauthorised visitor.

Visited.

At least two deer visited my work site overnight. The soft ground resulting from recent rains meant that their hoof prints were easy to see.

Unexpected yet welcome visitor.

We have a watering station set out for the songbirds. While we enjoyed the late winter-early spring sun one afternoon, this honeybee – an unexpected yet welcome visitor – landed at the station.

Visitor

I saw these tracks – probably a fox – after an overnight snowfall at my workplace.

Visitor

This attractive little creature found its way up a door at work. A co-worker relocated it to a safer spot.
