While the time change can be discombobulating, it can also bring a photographer new opportunities. I was unlikely to have captured this image before ‘falling back’.
It’s good to appreciate new opportunities, though they my be clothed in inconvenience.
We had a bumper crop of tomatillos this year. A curious thing we discovered is that the husk can dry, leaving only the veins as a fragile, beautiful remnant. This is preserved, framed by photography as well preserved and framed in my mind.

Some people might think it’s hard to get a good photo when your subject is dancing wildly in a brisk breeze.
I think it is not.
I was compelled to stop and take in the glory of a golden morning. What a blessing and a privilege to see such beauty.
One tree, gloriously ablaze in this bush across the harvested field, peeks through a small opening to let the world know that it bows to the inevitable, the turning of the seasons.
