Halo

This halo, as all are, is a product of reflection and refraction.

It is also a product of art.

Late afternoon, another sign of the changing season.

Tendrils of snow fall through the evening sky, evaporating before reaching ground level.

A variety of shapes and textures graces the late afternoon sky, as the sun blazes one last time.

A soothing end to the day.

The first touch of the morning sun puts a blush on this cirrus.

Extraordinarily delicate hues touch early evening cirrus, contrasting with the bold green of the cedars.

The light this evening was so striking that I was compelled to stop several times, admire, photograph, and give thanks for such a stunning gift.

It’s good to be alive.
