Under cover

With spring at hand we are re-acclimating our house plant to the outdoors. They don’t like getting a lot of sun right away and Faye came up with covering them with this porous cloth.

Spring is at hand, it’s a bit cool with a breeze now yet above freezing, the sun will emerge from behind the high clouds and the spruce tree. I don’t need a jacket (though it would be nicer I will tough it out).

The art of fur

The art of fur

The delicate shadings of the fur on Stella’s shoulder made an intriguing image.

Mist-ery

Mist-ery

The fog lay thick on the St. Clair River yesterday, at times completely obscuring the view across the river. The far side was there yet was invisible, activities which were underway inaudible. These pilings added one of the few senses of proportion and perspective to be found.

Kendal

Kendal dotes on Faye. Rightly so, she adopted him about ten years ago. Here he is zoomed in on her. He is an elder statesman now, he’s twelve plus and entitled to some special treatment. Kendal is not perfect, who is? At twelve he is still enthusiastic, full of life. He’s a good boy and I love him.

Taking her ease

Taking her ease

Stella lay in the yard yesterday, the warmest day of the year so far, a Winnie the Pooh windy day, about 15 degrees C.

The goldfinches are just beginning to gain their summer plumage.

A Winnie the Pooh afternoon

Spring can bring breezy days. This afternoon has been downright windy, a gust once upsetting things on our outside table. A windy day is good, it has tested the hoop house over the raised bed, the wind stirs up the air, makes the spruce and pine trees speak eloquently of spring, of warmer days ahead.

Irresistible

Taken with and posted on the PlayBook.

This is a poor quality photo but the look is priceless. Achilles completely relaxed. He is such a treasure, helps put my cares and concerns in perspective. I am so blessed, life is good.
