Upbound.

CSL Assiniboine, upbound on the St. Clair River on a cool breezy day.

A reminder.

Though this shirt is well over 20 years old and has long been relegated to work-around-the-yard duty, it is a reminder of a good cause and perhaps the best organization I have had the pleasure to work for.

Fungus.

During a walk in a bush, a fallen fungus-laden tree trunk caught my eye.

A fine day to bask in the sun.

This Snapping Turtle thought so, on one of the first genuinely warm days of the year.

I am back, after another hiatus.

This sprightly little fellow (or lady!) watched me from the safety of the Manitoba Maple tree in the back yard.

A neighbours’ free-roaming cat has the temerity to trespass in our back yard. While we like cats, we like them as inside-only pets. The dogs very much do not like cats. We, and the dogs, pop out at random times to keep kitty guessing, to keep the songbirds, and this welcome guest, as safe as possible.

Fresh out of the oven, this boule was too warm to slice. Waiting for it to cool required a lot of patience.

It was worth the wait.
