Blustery day.

Lucy sits pretty . . .

. . . if a little akimbo.

Cheerful event.

The first sighting this year of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, on a not-bad day for March, was a cheerful event.

Cheerful . . . colour.

During an exceptionally lengthy spell of chilly, cloudy, drizzly March-like weather in early May, continuing to feed the birds provides a welcome and cheerful spot of physical, emotional, psychological colour.

First cutting.

First cutting of asparagus, which actually occurred over a week ago. Second cutting happened today.

Stories to tell.

This barn must have many, many stories to tell. It would be most interesting to sit and listen.

Take warning.

The sailor’s adage held true today. This morning sky presaged rain and a stiff east wind in the afternoon.

Had to stop.

My morning commute was graced by this most marvellous scene. I was compelled to stop and enjoy the beauty.

Attractively dressed.

This attractively dressed Eastern cottontail found a good resting place under the haskap bush in our front yard. Faye captured this most excellent portrait.

Ablaze.

A wedge of the eastern sky was ablaze this morning.
