A treat for the eyes and spirit.

Watching Turkey Vultures soaring overhead is always a treat for the eyes and the spirit.

Why doesn’t it auto-throw?

Why doesn’t this ball auto-throw so I can chase it?

In formation.

Turkey Vultures are on the move; fall migration seems to be underway. These three are in a line astern formation above a night roost. Could not get a good focus on them despite numerous tries. My technique needs work.

Such graceful birds; I love watching them.

Blessed and grateful.

The hibiscus is still throwing off blooms. With low temperatures in the single digits and highs barely reaching 20 by the weekend, it may be nearing the end of bloom season.

Nonetheless, I am blessed and grateful that it’s doing so well.

Highlighted.

Highlighted by late afternoon sun, an American Goldfinch feeds.

Dinner on the way.

Marinated vegetables and bacon/sun dried tomato sausage. All of the vegetables were grown in Ontario, some within 30km of home. The sausage was made in the grocery store right here in town.

Yum.

Have picked about 4 cups of Chocolate Cherry Tomatoes in the last few days. That’s on top of the 8? cups picked before this week. More are on the way, in varying stages of maturing and ripeness.

So good simply popped in my mouth – not all make it inside – in salads, baked in a little olive oil with garlic, rosemary, and pepper.

Yum.
